I'm never more proud of myself than when I drop things off at the post office. Today, it's a package of goodies for my brother, who is deployed somewhere or other. And my fabric for the quilting bee which I finally chose, washed, and divided yesterday afternoon. Whew. It's still July, if only just barely.
And on Saturday I received some very special yarn in the mail!
My very own Mushroom yarn. I started knitting it in a very simple scarf pattern so the pattern won't detract from the colors. It's just like knitting up the forest. I love it.

Literature for the Young Lady - Interesting! I had to get my windshield replaced yesterday and my daughter
forced asked me to read a chapter from Anne of Green Gables. It was the chapter on Matthew and the dress and I couldn't help but fall in love. The back story to this is that I saw some television production of Anne when I was a child and so hated it that I never picked up the books on my own. It was the exact same story with the Little House books - hated the TV series and only finally read the books to Lucy a few years ago. What a shame.
