The white cardigan I've been knitting all winter. This, a bonnet, and one other white cardigan, are the only garments I've knitted this winter. Both took forever. Both are favorites. The Coraline is brilliantly designed and brilliantly modified for toddlers. Perfect in every way. The bonnet I knit in the same smocked stitch to match.
This is Cricket which I first saw here. It's so classic with well designed, charming details. I knit it in Knit Picks Simply Cotton Sport and had to adjust the gauge and size because cotton sport behaves very differently than wool sport. In the end, the cardigan just fits. I knit the sleeves on a smaller size needle than the body and really shouldn't have. I was tired and distracted and just grabbed whatever I had handy. In the end, US 3s probably would have been a fine gauge and yielded a garment that fits for longer than a week without me having to watch my baby's carb intake.
Next up: I'm craving worsted weight and cables.
