In the Kitchen: Recipes for this week
- Lemony pasta with goat cheese and spinach from the new Martha Stewart Food for which I can't find a link.
- Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches
- Spicy South Indian Cauliflower (minus the ginger)
In the Schoolroom: My (perfectionist) little boy is struggling with narration. He just freezes up and can't organize his thoughts. It's painful to watch. But the thing is, I'll catch him later playing with his sisters and referencing the Tang Dynasty so I know the stories are in there. What to do...
Our rhythm is a bit off too. It's frantic and list checky. I have some work to do.
In the Garden: I'm working hard on my expanded kitchen garden every chance I get. Which means it is very slow going! My list of things to do in the garden is ambitious and every day I think I'm actually going to get to some of it. Instead, I pluck a weed or two and dream.
In the Nursery: Our baby girl had a good day yesterday! She napped and smiled and fed well and talked to everyone! She laughed on Sunday when I kissed her soft, sweet belly. It's been nearly a year since I found out we were expecting our third child; the most difficult and wonderful year of our lives. Every day, gratitude bubbles over.
In the Darkroom: :) I intended to play along with Sarah for Manual Mode Mondays but the evening got away from me. Like Sarah, I'm an aperture mode girl most of the time. I did mess around with manual mode yesterday afternoon. Alas, none of the shots are composed or anything, just snap shots really, but it's an interesting exercise and a way to improve my skills with veryveryvery little effort!
OK, the children are wandering in and I must get going on the laundry! Happy Tuesday!
