Ballet. A meeting. Oil change and inspection. His first game. A late night dinner at Sonic (ew). Early morning Mass and a tearful goodbye. Chili, salad, fresh bread, and chocolate chip cookies for the first football Sunday. Turning off the game because we had it in the bag (IN THE BAG, I SAY!).
I was planning on avoiding all the 9/11 coverage because I don't see any gain in reliving the worst day I can remember, over and over, every year. I ended up watching a bit here and there. I can't look it in the face without tearing up, after all this time - time hasn't healed anything. I think we're still a little broken. I don't think we'll know how much until many more years have passed.
I agree. We are still a little broken. And, the ripple effects of that one momentous day. I can't even imagine it. It saddens me.

I think the Mass readings yesterday were absolutely perfect for the 9/11 anniversary. It was no coincidence. They lined up beautifully!

I agree, Sarah!

I don't watch the footage of ten years ago, either, as much as can be helped. I will read essays, and say a prayer for the families.
Tough football game to watch at the end.

I don't like to relive it all either, Jennifer.
Hugs, re. that tearful goodbye.

Mike, where are you??? Teach him to drop that front elbow down and raise back elbow up. His Aunt Chrissie want free baseball tickets in 20 years.
