Beside me right now:
I'm getting used to the fact that planning for the new year has several different stages. For most of the summer I've been in the don't-even-want-to-think-about-it-gazing-longingly-at-the-public-school-registration-signs stage. But then inspiration struck, as it does every year, and I'm in the thick of the gathering stage right now. Instead of ordering the books and going from there, I first thought about what I want the rhythm of our day to be and ordered books accordingly. I can't even remember what books I ordered in a very binge like fashion earlier this week. I'll sort it all out when it arrives. Does anyone else worry that the mailman is judging them at this time of year?
I did reintroduce a book to our home this week. Our old copy of Owl Babies fell apart long ago and my son never really had the chance to enjoy it. I bought a new board book copy. I'm so glad I did. We've read it over and over and over in the last 24 hours. (And look! There's an owl baby knitting pattern and I just happen to have some oatmeal colored yarn...)
Unrelated, but beautiful. I strongly dislike yellow. I don't like any flowers that thrive in the heat. But sunflowers are just awfully striking, aren't they? They make me smile.
Does anyone else worry that the mailman is judging them at this time of year?
Um...yeah. The UPS guy knows my name and calls me by it. Scary or just sad?

Was it the comment verification? That trips me up too. I always push post and leave the page. I had to enable it due to spam.

I get nervous about what the UPS guy thinks of me and all my boxes from Amazon when I order school books too, lol.
