Eastern Black Swallowtails! Aaahhh! We haven't found any yet on our parsley. Every year we raise some in out vivarium for the boys to watch - they *love* it. I have an extra huge pot of parsley just for the butterflies to lay their eggs on. (:

We love Eastern black swallowtails here, too! They usually grow on our parsley, and this year I have dill for them to nibble as well (they also like carrot tops, I've read).
You could have fun raising some indoors. I've written about that here http://thinkaboutthesethings.blogspot.com/search/label/butterflies Since I don't know how to reverse list, you'll have to scroll to the end to see the earliest posts.
Beautiful photos, BTW!
