- My sisters and (most of) my brothers home at last. Miss you Robert. :(
- A gorgeous walk in the woods with my children and my dad (we'll gloss over the fact that we had to return to the woods later to hunt for my car keys)
- A Thanksgiving Day win -
- Watching my handsome husband play football with my brothers. Miss you Robert, again. :(
- Obscene amounts of yummy food - including handmade egg rolls by my soon-to-be sister-in-law - very impressive. AND the traditional peach fried pies made by my mother.
- Two gorgeous posters from the National Book Festival from sister #2. My son is all about Jan Brett right now, so these are particularly exciting.
- And from my expat sister - three of the Harry Potter books in their original English. (I thought that joke was hilarious, but my husband didn't get it. It's funny, people. Laugh.) And lots of fun British goodies including something called Thornton's Mini Caramel Shortbread which are the best thing I've ever tasted ever ever ever.
(See all those empty spots? I ate them all. Or maybe I didn't, but I wanted to.)
Yay!
- And finally, leftover pecan pie for breakfast. What are you having?
I'd say 7/8 is pretty good. Our holiday seemed pretty bland compared to yours. You people know how to have a good time! My husband and I look forward to those big holidays when we are grandparents, but unfortunately my parents aren't like that. :( They go south for all of the winter and don't spend any of the holidays with us. OK, that wasn't meant to put a damper on your good fun, though! I do have an aunt that lives nearby and she has been a surrogate grandmother for my children, because she only has two grandchildren altogether and only one nearby. Sorry for the wordiness in my comment. I don't know why I always feel the need to ramble.

We too had a bland day. Your day sounds wonderful. Great job, Lucy!
BTW, are you looking for the other HP books in English (tehe)? I very often see them at my Goodwill for only a $1 or 2 if you should want them let me know.

What a wonderful day :-) Sorry about your other brother though. Nothing quite fills the hole, does it? However, glad you had so much joy.

I love, love, love caramel shortbread. I usually make my own, but I can imagine just how yummy that Thornton's version would be. I think I will be dropping hints in dh's direction! Funny about the Harry Potter books :).
