We finally managed a trip to my favorite fabric shop. It had been so long. I found some fabric for pajama pants for Linus (which currently only lack elastic). On the way out I spotted this blue and red floral print. It's so summery and fresh and lovely. I picked up a proper bag pattern
with interfacing and everything. It's reversible as well. The fabric was chosen in about a minute and completely on a whim, but I couldn't be happier with the combination. It's so happy.
It was so nice to be back at the sewing machine and whip something up in about an hour. I'm almost done with my knitting project but my hands were protesting loudly last night. After a long ice water soak, they are a bit better this morning (I accidently wrote "bitter" and that applies too).
False Garlic Bouquet. Despite the name, these smell lovely and they are covering our yard right now. It probably looks awful to the neighbors, but I sort of love the meadowy appearance. I was out there looking rather foolish with my camera yesterday, trying to snap a few shots of the butterflies. I could almost hear the neighbors muttering, "That weird homeschooling woman is taking photos of her weeds." Hee, hee.
