My Desk
Nina asked us to show our desks. I like these kinds of posts because I feel like I get a more personal look at my online pals. You can see where everyone is when we are all hanging out together. :)
Drum roll....
Left to right: A framed sheet of the stamps my husband and I used on our wedding invitations.
Two "Epiphany Cards" sent from two of my favorite online pals.
Book pile: Introduction to the Devout Life (perfect morning read), The Gardener's Latin, Fireside Stories, and Snowflake Bentley.
In the paper bag: yarn I picked up at the fabric shop today on super sale.
My cup of coffee.
My giant screen computer.
A pin cushion.
A desk organizer my husband gave me where I stash stamps and stuff. My husband always buys me paper organizing stuff. I can't imagine why.
Next up - a basket of pink scraps I'm using to make a happy winter quilt. Pink makes me happy.
And a palm my husband gave to me a few days ago. He knows I become quite blue in the winter looking out at my gray yard. I need lush green things in my life.
My telephone.
This is all located in my dining room. I spend a bit too much time here, I think. It's not always neat, but I like it just the same.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the oh, so casual night stand carnival. That was so much fun.
And totally off the subject, but my husband brought me home a Cadbury Egg last night which means they hit the stores before Lent this year and I can eat them. I CAN EAT THEM!!!! It was breakfast this morning. Mmmmmm.

your desk looks very cozy. :)

Oh, Jenn, how beautiful! I love the extra detail of the candle-lit image on the screen--is that your usually screensaver (uncluttered by icons, no less!), or did you put that up special for the picture?
Now I can't post my desk, it's just too ugly! Maybe next year. :) (I am easily intimidated; I can only handle so much humble self-exposure!)
Warmly,
Eileen

This area really lives up to your blog name. Cozy as spring. :-) I'd love to be able to make a quilt. Alas, I do not know how or where to start. Perhaps I should learn? I'm sure it would give me a much needed time to rest my frazzled brain. I love your screen saver. Where did you get it? I love Cadbury Eggs. And, how freakin' cool is it that they are out already?! Whoo hoo!

I used to love those Cadbury Eggs, but alas I must be too old because I NOW think they are too sweet.
Nice computer! We are big APPLE FOLK here.

Nice! I want a Mac! I have heard nothing but great things...
Hey, I don't know if you remember, but we had a couple of emails between us when I realized that we are from the same area! I remember you mentioning that you were in the homeschool group in the parish where I grew up! I just wanted to let you know that my husband, who is a FOCUS (www.focusonline.org) missionary, is speaking after all the masses this weekend and I will be with him. I would LOVE to meet you, if you are so inclined, because I just love your blog!
I hope you have a great weekend!

I posted a picture of my desk. I really do like your idea to put a clock where you did. And I never would have thought to frame wedding stamps, but I am totally stealing that idea the next time we go to wedding. Such a beautiful memento!

Well, the Cadbury Eggs brought me out of lurkdom.
Now, I'll be looking for them to eat at the best time of day - breakfast.
